Welcome Daydreamers

As a Gemini, I’ve got more sides to me than many people, and these cards capture every one of them – every mood, every longing and every celebration.

These cards are for everyone. They’re not affirmation cards that make you roll your eyes, they’re not witchcraft, they’re not centered around any religion, they are real. Above everything else – they are for the daydreamer in all of us, however deep she may be hiding, these cards are to awaken her, motivate her, and give her a good kick up the arse. These cards are here to tell you “You can do this!”, and you can have fun and slip in a swear word while you’re at it. And by buying these cards, you support this dreamer to keep living up in the clouds, where the champagne sparkle light makes anything feel possible.

Hi, I'm Evie. Total daydreamer, romantic, optimist, dancing queen and people lover. I'm also a Marriage Celebrant, MC and lover of stories. Finally, I'm a wife, daughter, sister, friend and mother. I've got two little wildflowers who are dancing in my shadows and under my feet each day, Pearl and Honey.

The act of creating these cards came down to three parts.

Firstly, I love being creative. I always have, and this was a creative thing just for me to chip away at, a passion project of my very own.

Secondly, I really feel like my feminism really ramped up once I brought two girls into the world. I often think about their future, how the world will look for them and how they'll be acknowledged in society. I find the shift that's happening in our world around females right now fascinating. Only just last week, I asked my husband what he'll put on my headstone should I die first. His reply, "Probably, #girlboss?" He gets me. So when I look at my girls, I think, what do I want for them? Do I want them to just settle in life? To feel too frightened to try because no one told them they could? Oh hell no. No way never. They'll be taught to dream like their Mumma (with hopefully a touch of realism and grounding from their Daddy!).

And lastly, I guess you could say I'm often the one to bring people together. I love a get together, any social gathering, and I love to be a supportive person in my loved ones lives. The more I can give to others, the more I love it, but sometimes, the cup empties. We can't always be everything to everyone. So I started to play with the idea of completely sharing myself with everyone who wanted it, whilst preserving my energy at the same time. How was that possible?

All these factors aligned, and the more I wrote, the more it all made sense.

I've loved every minute of creating these cards, and now I hope you enjoy bringing them into your world too.

Inspiration

Nothing is ever from nowhere. It's all about how we fill our minds. What we read, what we listen to, what our Instagram feeds are full of. The words from these cards are words that bubbled around inside my mind for months before I gave them a home. I'm always grateful for those who put themselves out there, so in turn, we can feel that one day we might be able to do the same. Amongst others, there's people I want to thank who will never see this, but I feel it's important to acknowledge and thank them anyway. These cards are have the belief of Mia Freedman, the wildflowers of Holly Ringland, the sass of EmmyLou MacCartney, the pep talks of Em Rusciano, the rainbows of Tess Guinery, the enthusiasm of Rachel Hollis, the feminism of The Yes.Queen and the whimsical warmth of Angus and Julia Stone, all wrapped up together with my daydreaming.

I call BS to social media making us feel worse about ourselves. You curate your own feed. It's like designing your very own magazine, every day. If the people on your social media aren't making you want to laugh and live and take over the world, get a new newsfeed.
